@Sunnyside226 if the question is relating to self harm, you can still chat about it but remember not mention any methods/details around it (here's the Guidelines if you wanna check it out again). you can also add a spoiler tag and mention "TW: self harm" at the top too (or us mods can add it in for you if you'd like).
as @Dreamy said, if its around managing it, we can talk about it for sure!

I wanted to know if you tried the "ice" or red pen thingy where you wanted to self harm. I'm trying to make sense

are you talking about using ice and/or drawing using a red pen as an alternative to self-harm? @Sunnyside226 if you are, that's totally okay to chat about! it can be really great learning some new coping and harm-reduction tools 😊

That question is completely ok to ask. I've tried the ice and the drawing on myself aswell as other strategies. It can very much be trial and error and what works for some may not work for others. You also have to give it a good chance to work so trying for say 10-20 before thinking it's not working. The fact that you went for a walk is amazing and well done for doing that, I'm proud of you.
As someone that deals with those urges of self harm every day I'm always happy to talk about ways to manage those urges and come up with coping strategies 😊
