Re: Good Morning!

Good morning and good afternoon @MDT @Appleblossom @StuF @PeppyPatti @Glisten @Shaz51 @TAB @Emelia8 @tyme @Jynx @Ru-bee @rav3n @Clawde and all forumites here today. I hope your Monday has gone well for you and you are having a great day!

As for me, today has been very hectic and chaotic with having to go into town to deal with a library card not working - fines, etc, that I never knew about- and then having to take my housemate up to the hospital for treatment. My legs are still recovering from going into the city to watch the Suncorp Super Netball yesterday at John Cain Arena- West Coast Fever vs Melbourne Vixens- which I’m pleased to say the Fever won (my team). Add to this, I’ve got some mental health issues causing me trouble along with my housemate being sick so life is absolutely perfect right now! I think I’ll go and do some knitting to help me relax whilst I watch TV!

Take care and stay safe!

Re: Good Morning!

@Judi9877 Good evening! Sounds like you've had a busy few days.

I went back to work today after two weeks of holidays. But it was even bigger than that. In 2023, I quit my job as a high school teacher due to severe burnout and moved interstate. I couldn't settle on a career where I wasn't a teacher and so, after 6 months of bouncing around jobs, I took a job as a Kindergarten teacher in a day care centre.

I needed to come home at the start of this year and accepted a teaching position. Last term, I taught small intervention groups, my teaching load was reduced and I only worked four days a week. This term, without really asking me, I am working five days a week, I have been moved to a grade 5/6 class and my teaching load has increased dramatically.

So today was my first day back in front of my own class, it was my first day of a full teaching load and it was my first day back from holidays.

I woke at 4 am and nerves and anxiety told me I needed to plan and prepare, so I did until my alarm went off at 5.45 am. It went well though - I did at one stage question whether I am going to be able to manage an increase in days and an increase in teaching load. But we shall have to wait and see on that front.

I've come home this afternoon to deep clean my house because I have a rental inspection tomorrow morning, but I will be at work so it has to be done tonight. Mind you, it isn't very messy, considering that I just moved in two weeks ago.

But busy busy...
